Scholars never aim to fail their enrolled courses. This study ascertains understanding whether the scholarship that a student has can be predicted from his study skills and anxiety in Mathematics. Using simple random sampling technique, data were gathered from 61 scholars enrolled in the first semester AY 2017—2018 in Surigao State College of Technology with the aid of the questionnaire on Math study skills adapted from Carolyn Hopper. Categorical logistic regression was conducted for the analysis of results. Findings revealed that a study habit of a student in Mathematics is a significant predictor of his scholarship as well as anxiety level in Math. ESKOLARAN have better study habits contrary to ESGP-PA grantees. Regardless of scholarship type, using good study skills in Math lessen anxiety level in the said subject. On the other hand, scholarship and anxiety level in Math influenced the study habits of a student. ESGP-PA grantees with severe anxiety were most likely have a difficult time in Math while CHED-TD scholars with severe anxiety have the highest probability to gain average study skills. ESKOLARAN with mild anxiety has the highest chance to obtain good study skills.
