Abstract

The effect of different soil media on the rooting of calamansi cuttings was conducted to test different soil media have a significant result on the number of shoots and number of leaves of Calamansi cuttings. The highly significant effect was noted for the length of shoots, length and width of leaves, number and length of lateral roots and percentage of rooting success. The percentage survival of calamansi cuttings was not affected by the different soil media. Generally, cuttings planted in rice hull ash produced more number of shoots and leaves which were longer and bigger, more and longer lateral roots and higher percentage of rooting success which is comparable to decomposed corn cobs and vermicompost.
